At the final meeting of The Trustees of the City and Metropolitan Welfare Charity (until now a small grant giving endowment) held at Guildhall in the City of London on 2nd December 2024, it was resolved to close down the Charity on 31st December 2024, having earlier received from the Charity Commission permission to do so, and give away the capital to other registered charities who work to support offenders and ex-offenders.
The recipient charities have received their payments (see Grants page).
Hence the City & Met has now closed for business. Please do not make applications for grants.
